Imaging Immersion Workshop

New this year!

MLCTO is partnering with OPCI to offer a series of imaging immersion workshops on Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28. Each session will be 1.5 hours and limited to 5 participants. These intimate workshops are designed exclusively for practicing interventional cardiologists seeking to enhance their proficiency in intravascular imaging techniques. Led by renowned experts in the field, this course offers a unique opportunity to delve into the intricacies of intravascular imaging through hands-on learning experiences.

Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in small-group sessions tailored to their individual skill levels, fostering an environment conducive to interactive learning and personalized instruction. From novices seeking foundational knowledge to experienced practitioners aiming to refine their technique, this workshop accommodates cardiologists at every stage of their journey.

Registration Criteria

While prior experience with intravascular imaging is not mandatory, participants should have a basic understanding of coronary interventions. Participants must have access to an interventional cardiology laboratory equipped with intravascular imaging systems.

The groups will be composed of 5 people maximum

Course Learning Objectives

1.
Learn and practice with the latest imaging User Interfaces commonly used in complex lesion assessment.

2.
Apply best practices for intravascular image acquisition, analysis, and documentation in clinical practice and discuss the role of intravascular imaging in complex lesion assessment, such as calcified lesions, bifurcations, and chronic total occlusions.

3.
Interpret images accurately to assess plaque morphology and develop skills in integrating intravascular imaging findings into clinical decision-making for optimal patient outcomes.

4.
Simulate knowledge of procedural techniques for IVUS-guided interventions, including lesion preparation, stent selection, and optimization.
